Kapalua Resort Golf Villas: wonderful place to stay when on Maui!

Peaceful & relaxing. Serene view on the 4th hole of Bay Course. Sunsets are behind Molokai, but still beautiful. Chattering birds in the morning were fun to wake up to! Beds VERY comfortable. Lots of great pillows to choose from. BBQ at pool was handy. Parking spot appreciated! Easy to check in/out. Washer/dryer very useful. Golf courses are incredible! "Taverna" restaurant is wonderful. Very short drive to calm bay to swim at & enjoy beach doings. Close to good snorkling & the Blow Hole. Love the design & landscaping of all the Kapalua resort community. Well done! It is always a privilege to stay at the Golf Villas. Thank you!

− The Booking.com ad did not indicate the requirement of a 6 night stay & free car rental at the very top. It was buried at the end & after I had secured the unit for 5 days. No cancellation nor changes could be made by either party. Our schedule could not be changed to one more night stay nor could I cancel the reservation. I had to get ANOTHER car rental through Priceline.com, which was (thankfully) an additional $208 for 5 days. The inflexibility by both Booking.com & especially the KBM Resorts businesses (Maria was quite unhelpful, let alone sympathetic) was quite unfair & bad customer service, IMHO. I believe the script MUST include the 6 night stay to qualify for car rental included and at the beginning & BOLDFACE. I advise you find a way to post it clearly. It felt very unfriendly. I was very reasonable, but did end up "digging in my heals" on this topic, spending hours trying to rectify the issue before we left on our mini-vacation. THAT part was not fun & until resolved to a degree, damped the excitement we had to go to Maui and stay at the Golf Villa. A 2-1/2 inch cockroach visited us on our last night there. Our flashlights scared it away, but I have no idea where it disappeared to. 🪳 Airconditioning unit in Master Bedroom bathroom had a VERY LOUD noise that would go off throughout the day AND night about every 40 minutes. We certainly understand A/C units have their challenges, but this was ridiculous. We moved to the other bedroom which had far less of the same problem with the overhead A/C unit found in the hall of that bedroom, although we would be startled out of our sleep there at least once a night. We survived. 🙂 I have an enormous bruise on the inside of my left calf due to slipping as I was getting into the high-sided bathtub the first time. NOT funny to have banged my calf against the top edge as one foot slid into the tub and my other slid on the tile floor - all resulting in me doing the...
