We loved Aldeburgh and enjoyed our holiday
8.0Location good. Sightseeing places good. Eating places good. Spacious apartment. We did manage to park across the road from the apartment but left it there for 4 days as we felt we would lose this if we moved it. We walked everywhere even to Snape Maltings.
− Some Advice: Double Bedroom: Curtains needed some blackout backing as street lights and morning sun light shining through. Stairs : Needs hand rails or bars either side. Easy to fall over. Especially at our age ! Bathrooms: Need hand rails attached to the shower wall tiles. Easy to slip especially if not using the plastic shower mat. Sash Windows: Tried to open them . When we thought we had it sorted it was easy to see the pulley moving but if it moved too much the window would have - we think - have dropped fully and smashed onto the window shelf outside - we didnt want to end up with a costly smashed window so we left them shut although it did get hot we just put up with it. Maybe leave some instructions about the windows ? Modern window mechanism catches we found were fiddly.
Wonderful and we would absolutely return and recommend to others.
9.0The apartment was huge for 4 people. Living room and kitchen downstairs with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Lots of space for comfortable seating in lounge, lots of games and information about things to do in the area. Very well stocked kitchen. Location was 5 mins walk from great restaurants and shops and 2 mins from beach. The property was exactly as described.
− I would have preferred blackout curtains in bedrooms to aid sleeping past 5am in summer!
