Old Inn
8.0Garrison House Inn is in a great location near Fort Anne Historic Site. The Inn is in an old house and has seven rooms. Photos show a nice enclosed dining room and an indoor dining room. Both, however, were closed for the season. Our room was on the third floor, accessed by a narrow stairway. The room was small and felt a little cramped. Two easy chairs and a queen bed were comfortable. There was a communal coffee maker just outside the room and a sitting area with a nice view. A high point was a delicious breakfast that came with the room. A low was a dated shower stall with a stained shower floor and signs of mold on the caulking in the shower. The rest of the bathroom was fine. The proprietor was very nice and gave us restaurant recommendations since hers was closed (with the exception of serving breakfast). There's not much one can do about small rooms, but I would address the grungy looking shower stall in our room.

10.0Alana and Murray were wonderful, friendly hosts. We felt at home. Great traditional breakfasts and hot coffee refills. Charming rooms. Fort Ann is right across the street and historic homes were walking distance. Art & Po was a great place for lunch.
