8.0The location was great and the bed was comfortable. I'm not a fan of glass bathrooms so I appreciated the curtain around the tub. The location was close to the main Tainan station and there are many shops nearby.
− There are some small details that could be improved. It would be nice to have one actual chair in the room. Checking in was a little awkward; the concierge directed me to the computer check in station, which was ok once I set it to English, but then it didn't include the Wifi password on the receipt, nor was it written down in the room. I called down and asked but the desk agent got confused about the numbers in English so I ended up going down in person with pen and paper to get the password. Also, there was a lot of perfume in the lobby and I found it off-putting. Grand Banyan Hotel had a strange vibe of aspiring to 4 or 5 star service but then not actually anticipating guests' needs.
