6.0The location is pleasant but not that calm as it is next to the main road. The bungalows (more than the tents) are spaced out so it leave some privacy with your neighbors.
− Lack of cleanness and facility maintenance were the main issues. It looks like the overall facilities are aging and lack good maintenance. Cleanness was not there either (we found hair on several "clean" towels as well as in bed sheets in the bungalow, the outdoor kitchen was not clean and equipment were not well maintained or aging). You have to share 2 bathrooms (1 indoor one, 1 very basic outdoor one) with 5+ others bungalows/tents (at least 10 people). You can hear the main road close by so it removes the charm of being in the countryside. Planting more trees could help getting more shade during the day (and even reduce noise from the road).
A nice place for a good sleep
6.0My mom and I stayed in the yurt. The bed was so exceptionally comfortable I didn’t even mind having to share it with my mom! The sheets and towels provided were super clean and smelled amazing. My mom’s comment was “how do they keep everything so white”, so well done. I loved how there was electricity in there and it was decorated really nicely. The farm animals were so cute and friendly, and the shared bathrooms were kept really clean as well.
− The value for money of the stay was great. In order to make it feel more like glamping though, the outdoor kitchen needs some attention. A really good wipe-down, particularly of the coffee machine, would make a difference. Luckily Tim Horton’s is on the corner so we didn’t have to rely on it! A full-sized fridge in the kitchen for guest use would be appreciated as well. I was expecting a shared fridge and was disappointed to find out we would have to rely on a cooler during a heatwave. Another suggestion to bring the farm stay to the next level would be to put in a pool or hot tub for guest use. It’s not *that* close to Sauble (16-min drive), so it would make it feel like more of a resort, and less of just a place to sleep after a day in town.
