7.0Kent’s apartment in San Andrés Island could work well for budget travelers. The location is its strongest asset: close to a good beach and a nearby supermarket, making it convenient for a short stay.
− The apartment itself is basic. Kitchen cabinets are worn, the lighting is harsh cold-white, and the kitchen knives are too dull for simple tasks. These issues are noticeable but not severe enough to justify a low rating; many travelers could overlook them given the price and location. The main problem is the host’s approach to hospitality. Communication begins with being added to a WhatsApp group with several other guests, where the host posts check-in instructions, taxi offers, and promotions for his scooter rental service. Questions that do not involve additional services often go unanswered. Before departure, the cleaning staff asked us to leave a Booking.com review while she waited. After we left, the host sent a WhatsApp message requesting a 10-point review, suggesting that any negative feedback should be sent privately rather than posted publicly.
