Fantastic accommodation, brilliant location

The hut was a lovely, very bright, spacious and surprising well equipped. We only had a short break but could happily have stayed for a week. It was super quiet at night. The location is great with lots of places to visit within easy reach. We were self catering but there was a lovely cafe on site with a good breakfast and lunch menu. On our last morning we got talking to the cafe owner as well as the site manager which was very interesting. A lot of work has gone into and continues to go into the site. The small museum is an added bonus and really brings the history of the site to life. Thank you John for the tour. We hope to visit again and thoroughly recommend staying here.

I didn't find the bed or pillows particularly comfortable but it could be mattress needs updating or just personal preference. Would it stop me staying again, absolutely not .

Good place for a relaxing break, but attention to detail need in accommodation

Know the camp well as I used to live in it in the 1980’s

No washing up liquid for dishes, no extra black bags for rubbish. No pillow protectors and the mattress protector was badly marked. The pans were also dirty

We have just returned from 3nights & we cannot fault anything. The history of the place is very interesting. Great wee cafe on site & the volunteer at the musuem is very knowledgeable on everything about the camp. Great place to visit the surrounding area & our wee dog loved it aswell.

The novelty value was a big draw to the accommodation

Remoteness meant someone always had to drive

The hut had eveything you require for a short stay. Very airy and comfortable bed. Te kitchen is well equipped.

The microwave/oven combi was a bit tricky to use at first.
