Just what we needed for our short visit to Totnes

8.0

Light and airy upstairs, nice bathrooms, lots of storage, kitchen well equipped, wooden shutters on the windows, large garden was lovely well maintained and private.

Large living room didn’t feel very cosy and feature bed in the master bedroom was a bit mad.

And idyllic and spacious barn conversion with all the comforts you could want.

10.0

The house was absolutely stunning. We loved the fireplace, the beautiful garden, and huge rooms. Everything was perfect. Immaculately clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the little hamper with shortbread and tea was lovely to arrive to. The bath was perfect and has a huge skylight to lie back and watch the clouds. Quirky and massive bed and lots of board games, books and DVDs to entertain. Peaceful and rural setting but only a short drive to Totnes. I wish we’d had longer to stay and enjoy the house.

Great home base to explore Totnes and beyond.

7.0

We wanted to explore Totnes and the surrounding area over 8 nights with a car and needed a self catering accommodation with parking. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for preparing meals. Hot showers with good water pressure and fluffy white towels were appreciated . The bed linen was luxurious.

There was a problem with no hot or cold running water and no heat over a period of 24 hours that required a plumber on site and involved the water company which inconvenienced us for a day of our holiday. The house was tricky to find and the driveway was narrow for turning around. The property is located on a busy road with commercial traffic that can be backed up to the end of the driveway.

Enjoyable stay in a great location.

Very spacious accommodation. It was lovely having the log burner - just remember to bring logs with you. The barn felt like a destination, not just somewhere to sleep at night.

It is managed through Fresh Escapes, so be prepared to receive lot's of advertising emails. There was a problem with the hot water, but if they sort that out it would be a 9 out of 10 property.

Schönes Landhaus in der Nähe vieler Sehnswürdigkeiten

10.0

Enjoyable, when ever we went back after a day it felt like going home.

8.0

interesting period decoration, it was well appointed, the kitchen was nice and warm when you walked in because of the Rayburn, good kitchen and dinning area, plenty of seating, good bathroom facilities and bedrooms were nice, especially the master, the beds like something from game of thrones, it was dog friendly, most of all i would stay again and you cant say better than that.

The fire didn't have any logs available, i didn't see any for sale locally either, i couldn't get the lounge hot enough so it was a little cooler than i would have liked. the TV remote was a challenge, the steps outside were edged with sleepers and they were a little slippery, the parking area vegetation could have done with a trim to help backing in or out, especially when wet and dark with dirty mirrors and cameras in the vehicle.
