8.0Upscale hotel with modern rooms. I had a one-bedroom suite overlooking the river, a nice view compared to most hotels around Makati. Room was spacious and well appointed, being a good value for the size. Front-desk, housekeeping, room service and dining staff were all friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet was good, but not spectacular. Free parking was nice. Biggest problem is that there is nothing immediately around the hotel. If you need to buy anything or just go for a stroll, the hotel is isolated from everything. It is harder to get a Grab/taxi and they sometimes get lost finding the hotel. In the room hot water was a problem. Even when it did get hot, the water took minutes to warm up, wasting so many gallons. And probably just a one-off problem, my first room had water seeping up from the floor. Looks like the building has weather sealing issues, given the amount of putty around the windows.
