Great access to the lookouts, Purling Brook Falls Circuit, local cafe. We had a wonderful time.
9.0The ambience in the yurt was lovely, especially when the fire got going. Be sure to listen to Ebony’s instructions on how to light the fire. It was incredibly quiet.
− We were there in winter. I am glad we brought extra blankets.
Disgraceful
1.0Access to the creek
− Terrible shower with no water pressure. Cupboards full of junk. Dirty, especially under the bed and unmapped floors. Unsafe drinking water, it was rainwater coming off a very dirty roof. The hand soaps provided were so diluted with water that it didn’t foam at all when washing after using the toilet. Inadequate heating. Wasn’t given enough firewood for the inside heater. Wasn’t given any firewood for the outside fireplace. Front door doesn’t open or close properly. Combustion heater needs maintenance and doesn’t work properly, can’t adjust the flue anymore, the adjuster was removed, and needs maintenance. Well after we paid for the property, on the afternoon we were supposed to check in, we didn’t receive any check in information, and had to chase it off them. This is when we were informed that the accommodation roof leaks, and if it rains we have to cover our own roof with a tarp like contraption. It’s also when we discovered that the owner had her own dogs, and that the owner might be out, and it was our responsibility to ensure her dogs didn’t escape, even though they are escape artists apparently. The dogs wanted to attack my dog and it was lucky the owner was home otherwise it would have been very difficult to access our property especially with our dog. Check in time was the first time we learned that we had to share the bathroom and kitchenette with other accommodation guests.
Beautiful unique accommodation right on the creek and in a great location
9.0Beautiful getaway on a semi private block backing onto the creek. The Yurt was stunning and furnished with so much thought, it was just beautiful. As we had our dog with us and it's all National Park, we weren't able to do any of the walks etc, so we just hung around and read, had camp fires and relaxed. It would be great to go back when it's a bit warmer and do some hikes. There is a Treetop Cabin on the same block, but back a bit and it would be lovely to stay separately but share the space with another couple.
− It was quite a cold block as there is a lot of tree coverage. In summer this would be a bonus and if you were out most days it wouldn't have been an issue. We just like sitting in Sun :) Other than that, it was excellent!
Magic land
10.0Magical, i couldnt of asked for a more special pkace to arrive at. The yurt felt like we had stepped out of daily life. Loved it
− Loved having the fireplace in the room, but very smokey and couldnt adjust the flue
Relaxing, quiet and the bush turkeys were very friendly.
7.0The river was beautiful The bed was comfy with the duck feather pillow and covers
− The shower was either very hot or very cold and not enough hot water I wish firewood was provided as it was freezing. I would have paid extra
