10.0Our 1 night stay at the Lafitt suite was definitely not disappointing. As we were already there, the room was ready so we checked in early. The main showstopper was the bathroom as it was bigger and more bougie than the Ashkood room. The room itself was more spacious with an added bonus of a private balcony overlooking the inner part of the riad. They also allowed us to leave our luggage as our flight was later on. Overall would definitely return here. One of the better riads we have stayed in the .Medina.
− In other Riads, the breakfast is different everyday. We had the same breakfast all 3 days. .maybe serve slightly different pastries or mseman for guests staying longer.
Quiet luxury in the Medina
10.0Booked a 2 night stay at the Ashkood room here at Dar Maya. Was warmly greeted by Yusuf outside the Medina. He also arranged the airport taxi for us which was prompt despite our plane being delayed by 2 hours. From the gate of the Medina, it is a 5 minute walk through the winding alleyways to get to the Riad. A small entrance tucked in a side street. Once you enter, you are in a different world; calm and serene. The Riad has only limited rooms: 5 I think so it's very quiet inside. Once in your room, you feel away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The room itself is spacious and clean and the bathroom is well designed with the added touch of underfloor heating and bathrobes for luxury feel. In the morning you are welcomed with a hearty breakfast consisting of fresh orange juice, a choice of eggs, fruit, yoghurt, crepes/pastry, preserves and tea/coffee to finish. The terrace is an added bonus to relax and unwind and the jacuzzi can be switched on if requested. Overall, one of the best Riads I have stayed in.
