The people and food were outstanding.

Poor management and service but beautiful setting

5.0

I liked the sand dune and that the beds in the tents had proper mattresses.

The service was bad. Empty plates are not removed at all (at breakfast the half empty dinner plates were still at the tables) A squad tour was arranged but nobody came

Good one, but expensive.

It is a nice experience staying in the desert, the surroundings are gorgeous and there's a lot of things to do around. we've made a safari with a 4x4 and it was awesome.

Although we had no problem at all with our time here, they were not prepared for our arrival. The booking was made in more than one month in advance but when we arrived they had nothing prepared - beds, tents, food... Also the pics on the website show a very organized place, but it was filled with trash around, the toilets were dirty. I think it is a high price for what they deliver.. maybe there's cheaper options nearby for the same benefits.

Satisfactory Camping, Scam Expedition

6.0

The staff, especially Mario, were very helpful. The view out in the desert around the tents is spectacular, especially at sunset. The campfire and sand boarding were very nice, and they even have beer to drink and hookah/sheesha to smoke for a cost. The ambiance of the site was absolutely stunning.

The cost includes a chicken breast and rice dinner, and some Asian pancakes / naan bread for breakfast -- the food was basic and good, but the cost for the stay was expensive! The tent was old, ripped, and unclean. Some of the tents had romantic lighting; ours did not. In the tent, it is simply two twin foam mattresses on the sandy rug floor. There is no front foyer / furniture in the front of the tent as the pictures have you believe. The part that really left a bad taste in our mouths was the scam "expedition": even at $55 pp (a "great deal"), a trip in a 4x4 up a sandstone hill and to the Whale Bone Valley was not even close to being worth it. $10 museum tickets, plus $10 pp would be an acceptable cost. The cost for a tent should be $20-$40, MAYBE. Overall, the whole experience was simply satisfactory, with a bitter aftertaste because of the scam expedition.
