Dirty old shack I can't recommend
3.0The queen bed was alright, we slept well.
− We stepped in and we're greeted by a swarm of mosquitos and a weird smell. After killing about 40 mozzies (we cleaned up the stains as best we could) and ventilating for an hour it was doable. The hunt showed us the cabin as a whole was just not clean. Every flat surface higher than like 1.50m was dusty or plain dirty. The floor looks like it wasn't vacuumed for 2 weeks. The toilet wasn't flushed, and besides there's no brush. Doors close with difficulty or not at all. The 2 stacked beds aren't fixed, so I wouldn't dare sleeping in the bottom one (or put your kids there).. The shower water drains so slow that after 5 mins your feet are covered. The refrigerator sounds like a jet taking off, and it doesn't stop. There was a big trash bag next to the patio that didn't reach the over-full container just behind our cottage number 5. The price for this junk yard (and the rating on booking.com) is totally unjustified. I have seldomly been so disappointed.
Nice cabin and location, though with a few drawbacks
6.0Nice lakeside location (and convenient for trips to the Algonquin Provincial Park) with a private beach and free use of boats and SUPs. Lovely porch in front of the cabin. Well‑equipped kitchen. Perfect for families planning a longer stay.
− Piles of trash (several of them) in the resort's backyard. No staff present when we arrived or when we tried to check out. A bit of fungi/moisture in the shelf under the kitchen sink.
