Best kaiseki meals, calm and amazing owner.
10.0The staff is amazing. Very caring. The room was VERY BIG, it is very quiet here and the proximity to the temple is nice for walks during the day. But the main experience was the meals. I've made multiple kaiseki (+15000YEN) and the meals here are better than that. The quality is overzealous and the quantity is to much for one person (I ate it all). The first day I had the vegetarian style and the other they just shifted to traditional Japanese cooking. I was a professional cook and I am still impressed by the fact the owners are doing that IN TOP of managing the facility. It is supernatural. Some people said "One night is enough" but I think this is a very nice base camp to discover Matsue and Izumo. Amazing people, amazing food, a very special atmosphere that feels like Japan. It's in a nice antique way. And the price is very attractive.
− You have to have a car. They can take you to the bus station (15') but a some point there are not your personal driver so I took a car (10' train at Yonago) to discover the area (Mt Daisen, Izumo, Adachi, Matsue,...).
