It was nice and spacious, not a big walk away from everything, plenty outdoor space and tidy.

− When I arrived there was a strong smell of sick, i found the smell was coming from the main double bedroom and it was overpowering especially in the heat we’ve had this week, I contacted the owner and he explained previous people had been sick in the bedroom and had left it for the cleaners to sort and they’d tried carpet cleaning it over the weekend to no avail. It was over powering which led us to not enjoy the caravan experience and our own space, we was fortunate enough to have our friends staying at tattershall in a different caravan not too far away so we had to spend majority of our "caravan time" sharing our friends and sleeping there for 3 nights out of the 4 due to the overpowering smell which was making us unsettled, I didn’t get no prior warning of the situation until I got there and made contact myself regarding the problem. Really disappointed that it ruined our "caravan" holiday due to other peoples lack of respect for owners properties and I can’t imagine the smell leaving anytime soon I think the carpet needs replacing personally! So all in all we paid for a caravan Mon-Fri that we didn’t get to enjoy or stay in, we used it to shower and get ready in only.

The actual park was vast, plenty of facilities but expensive if you had more than one child. When we contacted the owner for the park passes a couple of days before we visited he was very negative about the park and suggested that we didn’t bother with the passes and suggested that we facilities in the surrounding area rather than on the park, glad we didn’t listen to him as the outdoor pool in particular was great. The inflatables on the lake he said where full of duck poo and not maintained but this wasn’t the case, they were cleaned down each day before use. The caravan itself was sited away from the centre which suited however the pictures advertising the caravan where old and fid not reflect the poor condition the caravan was in. It was dirty, black mouldy shower, rusty radiators, heavily stained carpets and furnishings and cushions, broken deck furniture, no parasol to create shade on the decks, toilet seat had been poorly hand painted and was heavily stained yellow and disgusting. The bedding was old and bobbly, the double bed had not been changed.

− The condition of the caravan is not as advertised. The caravan was dirty. The lounge carpets where heavily stained, the sofas heavily stained, the cushions on the sofa where stained, the dining room table is a cheap cube and the legs where bent making the seats unsafe to sit on. We had a 10 month old baby with us and the high chair was about 20 years old, the straps where caked in old good and heavily stained but the actual seat itself was full of black mould which we had to scrub before we could use, came to go to bed snd my daughter pulled back the quilt on the double bed snd the bed had not Ben changed, there was black hairs, and bodily fluid stains on the base sheet, took the sheet off and the mattress protector had a big yellow stain and two blood stains, the owner blamed previous clients but that van had not been cleaned!! The shower was full of black mould, the radiator was rusting away, the toilet seat had been poorly hand painted and was heavily stained rather than changed. There were dead dried up flies squashed on lounge ceiling that have not been cleaned. The rattan furniture on the deck is broken, the box that contain the cushions was smashed and the cushions sitting in inches of water. The main door catch that holds the door open was missing so the door kept slamming shut in the wind. The owner just had an excuse for everything, we arrived on the Wednesday and he couldn’t send the cleaners back in til the Friday to change the bedding so we went out and bought new. He was not apologetic, he’d had our money and he didn’t care. The cleaner claimed we were the only negative review they had had, this was not true as we went on to find loads online after we had the issues and a lot of the issues we had had been reported online in 2023/24. On the face of it the van looked lovely, but on arrival it is very different.

Good location and the host provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. Really enjoyable stay with some great routes for the dogs.
