Great value, with clean and new rooms
9.0The location was excellent -- very close to the main onsen streets and gassho village, and just a bit of a walk from the train station. The staff was very helpful and even made a dinner reservation for us at a local restaurant prior to our arrival. They also gave us good tips about shops to visit and onsen-hopping opportunities (which we largely skipped due to the hot weather). The facilities all seemed quite clean and new.
− The breakfast was quite basic, as advertised, though tasty -- but if this helps to keep the costs down, it's worth the tradeoff.
