Clean and cozy

− Ceilings were low but besides that it was perfect for what I needed

We overall really enjoyed the suite, and it was a great price for the size of space and set up :)

It was quite a lot of space and very cutely done up. Had everything we needed for our family while there. The bedding was very comfortable and the included toiletries were very convenient. The suite was easy to access and the parking in the back was well kept and organized, also very convenient. Some of the lights and receptacles weren't working when we arrived, and the hosts were quick to have someone come by and fix the issue which was very appreciated.

− It was pretty cold in the suite as there didnt appear to be much in the way of air vents (its a very old house so thats probably fairly standard), the provided space heaters worked well enough, but the windows let in quite a bit of cold air. The light for the entryway also didnt work, so getting up or down the stairs to the door in the dark was a bit tricky.

Pleasant and comfortable. Hosts msged me a couple times to ask if I needed anything.

Very good location, near centretown. Pretty simple but very nice, a little kitchen, living room, a washroom, and a very comfortable bed within a bedrooom. There is also vacuuming and coffee marker available.

− No cable TV, although streaming available on big screen TV for those who already have a streaming service of some point.

A quiet location

− It is a basement apartment. No sound proofing

Basement suite in excellent location and very responsive hosts; better suited for summer stay.

The location is great and in walkable distance of lots of cafes, restaurants, buses and climbing gym. Also includes 1 parking spot at the back, easy door access with code, and was very tidy and well stocked (shampoo, toilet paper, kitchenware and cleaning items, appliances, Brita water filter jug, coffee, portable electric heaters, television and wifi, towels). Easy to store a few groceries, heat up food in the microwave or toaster oven. Shower’s warm, but not super hot. Was affordable and spacious enough for 3 of us. Very responsive to messages and we’re able to replace TV dead batteries before the Christmas holiday, which was the only way to functionally use the TV.

− Found out after booking, that I needed to make a $200 damage deposit. Still waiting to receive that back - will increase rating, once it’s returned. I booked for 3 people, and there was no bedding for the pullout sofa (luckily my family lives nearby and was able to supply me extra blankets). The electric heaters are necessary during winter, and the bedroom warms up very well. The living room and kitchen don’t warm up as well since, there’s a vent in the kitchen where cool air comes into the basement. The pictures made the place look newer, but it’s a pretty old renovation in the basement suite. Hosts would helpful, and would stay again in the summer, but not comfortable during the winter, need to wear lots of layers.
