This was an exceptional property nestled withing the housing of Hydra on an elevated hill. A nicely renovated traditional home with open space living. Not overloaded with furniture but minimal, making the space nice and comfortable. Clean, tidy and well organised. All you need is there, a kitchen, laundry, two well-functioning bathrooms (important on Greek islands). Access to a shared yard. Other reviews have issue with the stairs but if you rock up to Hydra with no vehicles and have issue with walking, than you won't enjoy the island. No views as street are tight, but it's not that kind of property, however, there is plenty of light coming through as there are many windows across 3 sides of the property. Solid stone housing makes it very soundproof from outside noise.

− Nothing bothered me, I felt very happy with the property and I saw what another couple of friends received for similar pricing staying in the harbour just 5 minutes away. Yes they had room service but they also had just a room with a meter space around it. We had a private space with plenty of room. A fridge to keep local goods in. A washing machine to wash our clothes. Our own bathrooms.

− The kitchen was useless and the bathroom had exposed wires. The Wi-Fi kept going down. No one offered to assist.

Traumatic Experience – Manager’s Abusive Conduct Violates All Standards

− My experience with this property was nothing short of traumatic. On the first night, I thought I had lost the room key and called the property manager from my friend’s phone, as my own phone battery had died. Initially, she said she would help. However, the next day she sent a message grossly misinterpreting the situation — claiming that, because I called from another phone, there were more guests staying in the room than booked. She then demanded €200 to be transferred directly to her personal bank account, far outside Booking.com’s official payment system and policies. She shouted on the phone, issued legal threats if I did not pay, and completely ruined the atmosphere of our holiday. Her behaviour was abusive, aggressive, and entirely unprofessional, forcing us to block her number to end the harassment. The property also has extremely difficult access, with no guidance or assistance offered in case of any issues. This kind of conduct is unacceptable, violates Booking.com’s rules and policies, and is a clear example of abusive treatment towards guests. No one should have to endure such behaviour from a property manager
