lovely home but unresponsive host at check in and no staff available
7.0lovely old Bushmans home but tastefully renovated and well equipped. The position in its best attribute, being near to the sea and river with a slight river view. The rooms are large and comfortable. The outside pictures dont do the house justice as once u enter it is homely with a kitchen that is overly equipped with everything u would need for a family. we only used the main house so I can't say anything about the flatlet which has extra bedrooms. I booked for 6 adults and we only used the 3 bedrooms in the house- luckily we ended up being 5 and so sharing wasn't an issue. Maybe they need to check next time if it is couples or singles who may want sep rooms as u pay for the entire 10 sleeper even if u are fewer guests. Host did offer us a late check out which was appreciated.
− The only issue was an unresponsive host. After confirming on 2 occasions that we would arrive at 1pm, there was no staff or access code sent to me. This resulted in us triggering the alarms in the garden , having armed response who no longer monitors the premises unable to help, us even tho they were willing and just as confused as we were. It took hours , by which time it was night for the host to contact me and apologise. In this day and age of easy communication this is shocking.

10.0Beautifully situated on the bank of the river, this home is fully equipped with all the necessary things to make our stay exceptional. Friendly staff and excellent host that was kind enough to give us a late check out so we could enjoy the river and beach on the last day. Clean house and yard and kid friendly.
