10.0Fabulous pub, with great food and lovely bedrooms. Loved the amazing balcony on our room. Great fresh breakfast. Just perfect. Our 3rd year of staying at The Sheppey.

9.0Just perfect. Don't be fooled by the outside. We stayed for three nights and ate dinner at The Sheppey each night. Fairly informal, staff were friendly and helpful, service was quick and attentive. Food was delicious. Very good cocktails. It felt like the middle of nowhere when we first arrived as the satnav led us down the roads that are not much more than tracks. Clearly has a good local reputation as they were busy in the restaurant midweek and at the weekend and there can't be any walk-ins because of the location. Have stayed in much posher hotels with less attention to detail about what you actually need in a hotel room for a comfortable stay. They'd thought of all the little details and the fresh milk, juice and breakfast (replenished daily) was a pleasant surprise as we'd booked room only. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely return.
