7.0The room was clean and spacious.
− The lorries could be heard rumbling past during the night.
Not a good night if its a hot one!!
4.0Yes, it was clean and the Breakfast was nice
− The room was extremely hot and we had to have the windows open. Its right on the A41 and every large lorry/truck was felt!! My ask would be a really good (I mean good!!) ceiling fan. It was actually right in the middle of the July 2026 heat-wave, so not easy to keep cool, but it was extremely unpleasant. This was in the main pub building. My brother was in their additional 'Annexe Building' and that was quite cool. Our bathroom shower was broken as well, plus the water pressure was not good. The actual room was very clean and the bed was very uncomfortable and we kept rolling into the middle. I will not be staying there again, ie, in the main pub, until the room is sorted. The annexe is quite ok.

9.0Very clean spacious rooms. Very friendly and professional staff. The breakfast is very good too!!
− Well aired rooms but airconditionning would have been a good addition to the experience.
Nice place to stay with friendly staff
8.0Nice pub good room friendly staff excellent breakfast
− Pillows were a bit hard
Lovely staff; clean airy rooms & great food.
8.0Staff were universally friendly & very efficient
− Not their fault, but the noise from the diverted HS2 traffic at night was pretty bad. Large numbers of industrial vehicles thundering past which would not usually be the case.
