Brilliant place to relax prior to check in as too early and hang out afterwards prior to oyr event. Staff are amazingly friendly. Bed was real comfy.

Be great if things like fans are checked as ours wasn't too good but we managed to get it propped up to receive some much needed draft.. Really difficult hot summer so this one item can make all the difference

I wouldn’t recommend it.

4.0

It’s part of a chain. So the lack of investment in maintaining the rooms is not good at all. The bathroom in particular was dirty (including hair in plug hole), stained, moldy and falling apart. It’s so bad the carpet in the room have been eaten by clothe moth larvae and there were moths in the room. We have had to deep clean all our clothes. Damp stains on the ceiling and fittings hanging off.

Charming in rural location

6.0

Room was fine, had a quaint charm, clean, bed comfortable, creaking floor but that was to be expected with age of Pub. Interesting shower! Breakfast was good. Nice atmosphere

If you stay during a heatwave, be aware as the window is very small and no air con. Fan provided was it is a basic fan, did make for a very uncomfortable night's sleep, so on this occasion booked for 2 nights, stayed for 1 only. We were in a top floor room. Not the Hotel's fault, just the weather

Very friendly staff.

Accommodation was very poor. Room had a fusty smell when we walked in. it was if we were the first people to stay in the room for weeks. Very dirty premises

'Old worlde' ambiance

6.0

A lovely old inn where I was made very welcome. The bed was very comfortable and linen a good quality A fan was provided as it was extremely hot. Fresh milk and decaffeinated tea and coffee was provided on request. A wide range of breakfast items were available.

The room was 'tired'. The net curtains were grubby and the were small patches of mould around the bathroom tiles. The sink was cracked Getting in and out of the bath for a shower was difficult as there was nothing to hold on to. A very pleasant staff member explained that they were planning a refurbishment.
