Overall amazing
10.0The openness
− Lack of communication
Felt like a scam.
1.0− The owner provided an entry code by email. Yet, when I arrived the code did not work. No one was on site. I contacted their international number and also texted. No response for 25 minutes, having zero assurance that the calls would be answered at all. I requested a refund, they declined. I did not cancel the reservation. I was not a 'no-show'. I was on site on the date of reservation and could not enter due to a erroneous or fictitious entry code provided by the owners or their service.
Celebrating my daughter’s birthday & they surprised her with Tootsie Rolls on her bed.
10.0Loved the history and antiques. It was a step back in time. The lady we visited with was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Was like staying in someone huge home. We had the Wild West Room which was very spacious, but we also got to see inside the most of the other rooms to see there themes.
− It would have been nice to have a hot breakfast option since no close restaurant, but that’s not a deal breaker on staying again. Just a thought.

10.0This place is an amazing old place that has been restored beautifully. The staff were all friendly and kind. We would highly recommend this place.

2.0I briefly tried to sleep in room 1. Whatever the noise that repeats every 5 minutes or so was awful. I travel with silicone earplugs. Attempted to sleep from 11 until 2 when I got fed up with the noise and just left. Also there are roaches under the toaster. Saw the black trap so yall are aware of those. I can honestly get over a bug, but being unable to sleep ruined a competition I’d been training months for.
An adventure to remember
10.0We had the most interesting an friendly stay at B & L. It was like staying in a curated historic boarding house. Leslie the owner/manager/decorator/"tour guide", was so helpful and patience with our group of 10 friends. each room was themed after a part of her family heritage and experiences. I highly recommend staying there.
