9.0Small guesthouse in the very center of Melk, right down the abbey. The room is simple but clean. Breakfast offers good options
− You can lock your bike to itself and leave it in an inner courtyard that stays open at night. The area still feels very safe, but it’s worth knowing in case you mind
Überfordertes Personal
7.0Zimmer in der Altstadt von Melk, direkt unterhalb des Stiftes. Für ein altes Gebäude war dass Zimmer groß, sauber und geräumig.
− Die Dame beim einchecken war etwas überfordert. Der Umgang mit den im Café vorhandenen Torten unliebevoll, da wollten wir nicht wirklich als Gast bedient werden. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war als Buffet angerichtet. Es war ein Berg von Schinken und ein Berg von Käse, genauso unliebevoll wie am Tag zuvor die Torte auf die Teller geklatscht worden sind, so sah das Wurst/Käsebuffet aus. Die junge Dame die für den Nachschub für das Buffet zuständig war, war ebenfalls überfordert. Es gab keine Frühstückseier obwohl sie gesagt hat sie kommen gleich, bis wir gingen gab es keine Eier. Brötchen wurden erst nach 3- maliger Aufforderung aufgefüllt. Andere Gäste haben sich mit Müsli beholfen.

− Bad wurde Loch im Boden mut Teppich abgedeckt. Es lagen Teauben den ganzen Tag auf dem Boden.
Für eine Nacht auf Durchreise (Auto/Rad) i.O., Frühstücken sollte man besser woanders…
4.0Die zentrale Lage. Trotz Altbau neues geräumiges Bad.
− Das Frühstücksbuffet war eine Katastrophe: obwohl noch früh am Morgen, schon fast leergeräumt, faule Tomaten, bei Sommerhitze offen Schinken und Käse ohne Kühlung stehen lassen; dunkler, schmuddeliger Gesamteindruck im Gastraum. Im sehr engen Zimmer überall Staub auf Lampe und Möbel, Matrazen durchgelegen.
