Super schöne ruhige Unterkunft, die einzigartig eingerichtet ist! Eine der schönsten, während meines Aufenthaltes. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen, der etwas abgelegen eine ruhige Unterkunft wert schätzt. Einen kleinen Pool gibt es auch, in dem man auch abends/nachts schwimmen kann, weil das Wasser noch schön warm ist. Die Zimmer sind riesig & schlicht eingerichtet. Es gibt einen süßen, ruhigen Windhund, der überall rumläuft, aber nicht aufdringlich ist. Es sind auch nur wenige Zimmer, sodass die Unterkunft nicht überfüllt ist. Es gibt ein simples Frühstück, das ich aber nicht probiert habe. Eine Küche gibt es auch, die man nutzen kann. Sehr viele Sitzgelegenheiten zum entspannen oder arbeiten.

− Man muss vor Ankunft über einen Bezahl-Link bezahlen. Vor Ort bezahlen ist nicht möglich. Da ich die Unterkunft nur reserviert hatte & bei Ankunft online bezahlt habe, gab es erstmal Verwirrung vonseiten des Managers. Er war auch sehr unfreundlich zu mir. Nachdem er abgeklärt hatte, dass ich tatsächlich bezahlt hatte, war aber auch alles in Ordnung und er war ab dann sehr freundlich. Trotzdem finde ich das System suboptimal und anscheinend führen kurzfristige Buchungen zu Verzögerungen.

Super schönes, ruhiges Hotel, um ein paar Tage zu entspannen! :)

Für uns war es eines der besten Hotels, während unseres Aufenthaltes! Sehr ruhig, super schön eingerichtete und große Zimmer. Angebot an Sportkursen, Yoga, Fitnessraum. Es gibt einen Spa-Bereich, wo ich eine super Massage hatte. Es gibt aber auch Kosmetik Anwendungen. Seeehr langer & schöner Pool (130m?), wir haben es geliebt. Zweiter kleiner Pool über die Straße am Wasser. Man ist direkt am Strand. Das Essen ist super. Man hat viel Auswahl & besonders morgens ein großes Buffet. Das Personal war super freundlich & hilfsbereit. Abends konnte man auf Anfrage im Außenbereich unter einem großen Baum mit Lichtern dinnieren (romantisch, mehr Privatssphäre). Der Essbereich ist mit Blick auf den Binnensee.

− Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen, aber man kann sich leicht ein Uber herbestellen. Gegen Abend kommen einige Raben an den Pool. Uns hat es aber nicht gestört & das Personal hat kontinuierlich versucht die Vögel zu vertreiben.

Beautiful property, good location (a 2-3-minute scooter ride to Ahangama's main street), and a nice pool and garden area for relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were extremely kind, and the sweetest resident dog, Patchy, was truly a highlight!

− Having an uncovered outdoor shower area was not ideal, especially since it rained heavily during our stay and the entire bathroom flooded. The owners may want to consider installing a skylight to protect the bathroom from rain and critters (big lizards crawled in from the roof) while allowing sunlight in. Additionally, the bathroom door did not fully shut or lock, which I urge management to look into to improve privacy. On a separate note, for the price, we would have liked breakfast included. Although yoghurt, tea/coffee satchets were available, we were not fully satisfied regarding the value for money, especially since similar places around the area offered breakfast with on-par facilities. With these small improvements, the guest experience of staying at Merchant House can be eleveant from good to exceptional!

Wow .. what a beautiful place to stay . Down a small quiet lane , within walking distance to beach and shops . This place is a must stay. The rooms are huge , clean and comfortable . The staff are sooo sweet and helpful . They feel like family , and the gorgeous Patty ( the house dog ) always waiting at the gate for you or greeting you when you get out of your room in the morning . We loved her . The pool is huge and lovely to cool off in after a day at the beach or exploring .The gardens are so tranquil and the decor gorgeous .

Lovely accomodation close to city center but still very calm. For breakfast there is yoghurt, granola and fresh fruits. Staff is super friendly :-)

− Maybe some mosquito nets would be great to have
