A beautiful location on the coast, accessible and surrounded by pretty and vibrant townlife with lots of places to visit. The staff were impeccable, the food delicious and the 5-day holiday was just what we wanted. Thank you, Nalin and team. Until next time!

Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und ausserordentlich liebevoll zubereitet. Wir haben im Hotel selber drei Mal das Abendessen eingenommen. Der Koch ist ein wahrer Meister seines Faches - das beste Essen auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise! Die Bedienung ist äusserst freundlich und sehr fröhlich. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, und bei unserer Ankunft war das Bett liebevoll mit Blumenblüten und einer Handtuchdeko in Form eines Elefanten geschmückt. Das gesamte Personal gibt sich grosse Mühe, dass sich der Gast rundum wohl fühlt. Das Kolonialhaus mit wenigen Zimmern liegt inmitten eines wunderschönen Gartens mit Blick auf das Meer. Die Liegestühle waren sehr bequem und sauber. Die Lage ist ruhig und erholsam, aber doch nicht abgeschieden vom Dorf, das gut zu Fuss oder auch mit Tuktuk erreichbar ist. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Aktivitäten zu unternehmen. Ich würde mehr als zehn Punkte für diese Unterkunft verteilen!

If you’re hesitating; don’t, just book it. We paid considerably more for far lesser experiences elsewhere in Sri Lanka.

Had an excellent stay at Sundara, albeit for just one night. We arrived around 6pm for our final stop before heading home, hoping for somewhere comfortable and good value to enjoy our last day before a late flight the following evening. Despite being fully booked the next day, the staff could not have been more accommodating. They offered us a late check-out and even the use of staff facilities to freshen up later in the day, which meant we could fully relax and enjoy our time. It was a really nice touch, and we continued to feel genuinely welcome even after checking out. The food was exceptional. On a trip defined by outstanding meals, Sundara still managed to stand out. The barramundi, in particular, was superb, easily one of the best fish dishes I’ve had, and good enough to order twice! The rooms were spacious and spotless, the staff charming throughout, and the beach pristine and blissfully quiet.

Besonders gut gefallen haben mir das sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, der wunderschöne Strand sowie die extrem saubere und gepflegte Anlage. Auch der Poolbereich ist sehr schön gestaltet und lädt zum Entspannen ein

− Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die Zimmer, die teilweise recht dunkel sind, da statt Fenstern dicke Holztüren vorhanden sind, die den Raum stark abdunkeln. Zudem ist das Haus insgesamt etwas hellhörig, und es kam vereinzelt zu Lärmbelästigung durch Nachbarn bzw. eine Baustelle nebenan. Das ist sehr schade, da es sich wirklich um ein wundervolles Haus handelt – für geräuschempfindliche Gäste könnte das jedoch relevant sein. Abgesehen davon gibt es kaum etwas zu bemängeln.
