Incredible location with super helpful staff who made our stay unforgettable

This property is right in the middle of the nature. You go through the river to get to the hotel, which we found very authentic. We also went kayaking in the river which was extraordinary. We could see the monkeys in the trees, observe unique birds and also see some crocodiles! One of the highlights was surely the staff. I have never met a team more helpful and attentive than Mohan’s team. They made our experience truly unforgettable. They were very organized — helped with our food orders, organized our safari, lit a bonfire for us, and even picked us up from the main road because we arrived pretty late in the night and elephants sometimes block the road. If I were to go to Wilpattu again, without a doubt would stay at Raalmadu again.

− The private pool wasn’t as private as we expected it to be, as any passerby could see us. Also hygiene wise we weren’t sure if we could go in it.

Prachtig én comfortabel midden in de natuur

Geweldig om hier midden in de natuur te zitten! Met rondom aapjes, een krokodil in het water en tijdens ons diner hoorden we echt heel dichtbij een olifant tetteren, geweldig! Een comfortabele schone kamer, lekker eten en een fijn zwembad. Alles werd supergoed geregeld door Kuma! Zo ook de safari de volgende ochtend, vele malen goedkoper dan op bijv. Get your guide. Tja, en als je niet tegen geluiden uit de natuur kan, of mieren in je kamer als je iets te eten laat liggen, dan moet je niet in de natuur gaan zitten.

Warm welcome at arrival. The staff is always happy to help. The food was really good and more than enough. A really beautiful location in the middle of the jungle. It was my birthday during our staying and they surprised me with a private little party which was very thoughtful.

Very accommodating host ,Kumar looked after us very well. ;An isolated location in the Jungle, The roads sadly had been damaged during storms earlier in the year, so exciting jeep journeys were needed to reach the Reserves. The food was very well presented and delicious Guest appearance from a local elephant was an added bonus.and the variety of birds in the camp was another treat

Everything. Location was very quiet and secluded. The room we had was excellent and the pool area was fantastic. Wildlife around the resort was awesome with monkeys, crocodiles in the lagoon and birds aplenty!!! Kuma and his staff were very attentive to our needs and provided exceptional customer service, always happy to help with anything we needed. They arranged a fantastic tour of Wilpattu NP, with a great lunch provided. Thank you Kuma for a wonderful stay. I would recommend your accommodation to anyone travelling to Wilpattu NP.
