7.0Pros Excellent location with convenient access to local attractions. The rooms are kept clean and fair-maintained. The manager is professional, responsive and helpful Good VFM Cons Cash-only payment policy. Low water pressure in the shower. Thin curtains that fail to block sunlight, making sleep difficult. Worn-out pillows. Significant noise from the nearby park, road and the pub directly below the hotel (for rooms facing the park). Minimal room amenities, lacking a work desk, bathroom floor mat, and space for toiletries. Inconvenient after-hours access, requiring guests to ring a bell to enter. The elevator is small. Poor soundproofing, which allows noise from neighbors to disrupt sleep. Summary Overall, I would rate this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. While the location is great and the cleanliness of the rooms is appreciated, the stay is heavily impacted by several discomforts and inconveniences, such as the cash-only policy, noise issues, lack of room amenities, and restrictive access. It remains a viable budget choice but has significant room for improvement.
