Lovely spot, close to tiger and leopard sanctuary

10.0

A vision of tranquility, calm and beauty in a spot that allows for wildlife watching (The Sariska tiger reserve is next door). Quirky, it offers a view of Indian village life with charm and authenticity.

The location is remote, so is ideal for those with their own transport. If, like us, you need a taxi, then worth booking this well in advance.

Very pretty property made thoughtfully and in a fantastic location

8.0

Very pretty property , tastefuly made. Mud houses with lots of traditional touches. Staff is very kind and friendly. They don't serve alcohol , you get your own and they will provide glasses etc. - same with sheesha

the food was ok, not great , would have liked more traditional local options

Schöne Zimmer am Rande des Sariska Nationalpark

9.0

Comfortable bed, the ONLY good thing about this hotel.

3.0

I found the bed very comfortable and the room very spacious. I think the location is also excellent for safari purposes.

I can safely say that this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in my many travels around the world. I’ll go in order of significance here: 1. I got very sick after staying in this hotel. I requested a heater because the room was quite cold in the evening. However that did no good at all because at around 2 AM the power went out in the my block of apartments. I was shivering, fully clothed in jeans and a coat awake all night. I did not sleep a wink at all and felt horrible and have been sick now for over a week after this night. 2. There is no WiFi at this hotel. Upon check in, I was given a portable hotspot that worked for all of 1 hour and stopped. My phone was on E for most of the night, so I was awake and freezing with nothing to do. 3. When I wanted to complain at the lobby, I left my room and went out to walk to the lobby and it was absolutely pitch black with no lighting. When I finally made my way to the lobby, there was nobody there. As a matter of fact, I was the only guest in the entire hotel, so I guess the staff felt comfortable relaxing instead of being on duty. When I called, nobody picked up. Then I called again and my hotspot cut out. 4. The staff is unable to communicate with guests. I realize that I am staying in India, but when the ONLY person in the entire vicinity that speaks English is the hotel owner, communication is very difficult. Every time a staff member came to my room, it was a game of charades. Between all of the problems I experienced, chief among them being my inability to sleep due to freezing cold and not even being able to use the facilities normally due to complete darkness, I found this hotel truly awful and could not wait to leave. When I complained to the owner in the morning, all I got was a “sorry sir” and I had to suggest to him that he should comp my meal from the evening before (which was inedible and reluctantly eaten in complete darkness as at the point the lights were going in and out).

Is Sariska Kasba - A Village Resort really a five-star hotel?
Yes. Its own classification data carries five stars; that rating, not a style label, is what puts a property in this collection.
