Très bel établissement joliment décoré et atypique, dans les vignes et le potager. Très belle vue lors du petit déjeuner vraiment délicieux. Beaucoup de charme.

− Un peu difficile d’accès aussi bien pour rejoindre l’hôtel que pour les chambres car il y a de nombreux escaliers. La climatisation est un peu bruyante.

Stylish boutique hotel in Calheta

Beautiful boutique hotel in the usually sunny Calheta overlooking the sea. Calheta beach (with dolphin and whale watching options) is walkable but steep downhill. Pool with a few sunbeds and stunning view. Great location close to many of the major hiking destinations. The modern art museum is also within walking distance. Nice breakfast (served to the table), with a bit of variation every day. The restaurant is also very good, we opted to eat there two nights out of three and really liked it. They also have their own wines which are very nice. Small but comfortable rooms. Nespresso machine and speakers in the room (details we appreciate). Very quiet. We would recommend this place.

− The toilet in the room kept running when flushed and there was a canal smell which sort of intensified over night - but honestly it is likely just temporary and will be fixed.

Die Lage an der Südwestküste mit Blick auf das Meer hat uns gut gefallen. Insbesondere die tiefen Fenster mit Sitzmöglichkeit in den Villen waren super um diesen Blick zu genießen. Im Meer kann man gut schwimmen gehen, da die Bucht durch einen Steinwall geschützt ist. Dort gibt es auch Liegen/Schirme zur Miete. Ansonsten waren genug Sonnenliegen in Unterkunft vorhanden und im Pool fand man auch eine gewisse Abkühlung. In der Unterkunft gibt es eine kleine Kochnische und man bekommt auf Nachfrage Pfanne, Kochtopf, Schale und ein paar Kochlöffel + Salz und Pfeffer. Einfach Gerichte kann man so zubereiten. Wir waren auch im Restaurant des Hotels essen, eher hochpreisig. Das Essen war gut, aber nicht überragend. Das Frühstück bekommt man an den Tisch und es ist ausreichend und lecker. Eierspeise bestellt man nach Wunsch separat. Wir waren 10 Tage vor Ort und daher hat uns gegen Ende das Frühstück gelangweilt, für ein paar Tage ist es aber sehr gut. Wenn man früh zu einer Wanderung aufbricht, kann man um ein Lunchpaket bitten, dass auch völlig ausreichend ist und ausgenommen der Eier und dem Müsli in etwa dem Frühstück entspricht. Das Leitungswasser ist trinkbar, schmeckte aber zeitweise sehr chlorig. Das Personal ist super freundlich und aufmerksam.

− Das tägliche Handtuchwechseln hätte es für uns nicht gebraucht.

Absolutely enjoyed our tranquil staying at socalco. Food was definitely the highlight and the staff are all very warm and helpful.

− If I have to pick something out- the bathroom tap was a bit loose and the toiletries could be nicer- separate shampoo/conditioner/shower gel would judge the standard of this hotel better.
