A characterful modernised hotel with all comforts and very good value for money. Excellent location
9.0On site private parking was a bonus. The young member of staff was welcoming and instantly helpful in showing us to our room. We had booked an evening meal and the Sunday roast was amazingly good in all respects. Our room was quite compact but everything was clean and comfortable. There was even an ironing board in the wardrobe. The staff serving in the evening and at breakfast were friendly and willing. We would recommend this characterful hotel without reservation.
− We were charged twice for our evening meal. Perhaps staff on duty need to be trained up on how to check that we had left our card details and then paid in the morning for our dinner the night before. We telephoned when we discovered the error and it was rectified immediately..

10.0Incredible building, built in the early 1600’s. So much character. The staff was great and very friendly. I also loved walking around the little town.
