Very friendly staff and perfect location if you’re thinking of walking up Snowdon! Special mention for the food! Best Steak I’ve tasted in a long time!

The location was excellent, bed was very comfortable.

− Overall, our stay was enjoyable, but unfortunately the customer service, particularly during dining, was disappointing and lacked attention to detail. During dinner, we ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress placed the unopened bottle on our table and walked away. After waiting for a while, we had to call someone over to ask if it could be opened. The bottle had a cork, and instead of opening it at the table, it was taken away. Meanwhile, our food arrived before the wine was returned. When the waitress eventually brought it back, she simply placed it on the table and said, "I didn't realise it had a cork in it, I thought it was a screw cap." I found this surprising, as I've never been expected to open or deal with my own bottle of wine in a restaurant. It felt unprofessional and detracted from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. After dinner, we went to the bar and asked to see a cocktail menu, having seen one available in the restaurant. We were simply told, "We don't do cocktails in the bar," with no further explanation or attempt to offer an alternative. These may seem like small issues individually, but together they reflected a lack of customer care and attention to detail. Better service would have made a significant difference to our overall experience.

A good venue, for an overnight stop. Convenient for walkers and visiting snowdon.

The location is ideal for visiting snowdonia. Good walks locally around hotel, we were also able to visit a very ancient castle within the grounds of hotel, most interesting. This needs better signage and pointing out to guests. The hotel has beautiful grounds and lovely accommodation. Our evening meal was delicious and waiting staff all so very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was self service, lots of choice, many times up to get another item! Food, all delicious. Thank you.

− The room we had up on the second floor, although comfortable was fairly dark, as walls painted in dark tan, a bright light colour would be so much nicer. It was also extremely hot, there was a fan provided, but for safety, we turned it off before settling down to sleep. A mini fridge is a very useful addition to rooms for guests to have cold milk for their refreshments provided. Also for guests to keep their water drinks, so they are cold when required. Thank you.
