Fabulous hotel, excellent food and staff A1. Will be back!!
8.0Beautiful former convent/abbey with lovely features and gorgeous gardens.
− Room was small and air con unit too noisy to leave on all night so very hot.
Unexpectedly relaxing & wonderful visit!
9.0I loved the hotels history and the accessibility to it all. The grounds were lovely for the dog. .The room was fab. Food was lovely I will be back !
− Could do with a spa 😁
Well worth a visit !
8.0The room was a good size, with air conditioning. Tea coffee making facilities with a good selection 👌. Fridge to keep your water, milk etc cool. Iron and ironing board in wardrobe as well as a hairdryer. There was a safe inside the wardrobe if needed. The bathroom was huge with a double wash hand basin, it had a walkin shower and a roll top bath also a while. Clean towels every day. Parking on-site.
− At breakfast time in The Refectory they have a water and juice station, but no glasses at hand. All glasses on the table, would make more sense to be with the drinks.
NIce hotel would stay again
9.0Everything was fine, although the bar was very warm due the the nice weather - the saving grace was that there was air con in the restaurant.
− Bedroom was on small size
Nice place great service. Standard rooms small and dark.
6.0Interesting building. Very friendly staff. Great location. Lots of parking space . Good food and service at breakfast.
− Standard rooms are small. Double bed is small . Room decor is dark and gloomy . Room was showing signs of wear and tear and there were cobwebs in the bathroom. My wife and I both felt totally underwhelmed when we walked in. We requested a room change but even the best alternative room available on the 1st floor wasn't much better. It was a humid evening and the room fan was adequate but very noisy so we had to switch it off to get any sleep. The windows only opened with a small gap for ventilation. Even then , the blind had to be pulled down as the room could otherwise be viewed through the window from another room nearby. Ok for one night only and definately not good value for money.
