Great location in terms of beach, Huntington Pier and main street. A bit noisy by the PCH but that should be expected. Back to the location. Room was dated so pictures are a bit old. Overall a good stay.

Great Location & Comfortable Mattress but Everything Else was Second Rate

Blinds and shower door were broken. Blankets were stained. Paint was chipped all over the walls.

Stellar views and great stay

We love the small hotel. It is close proximity to the beach and everything in between great food, shopping, the pier… everything within walking distance, but beyond that the rooms are quaint and and decorated so cute for the beach. The upper deck patio is stellar for watching sunrise and sunsets.

Disappointed

We were excited to be there. Pros: Great location, hot water, and reasonable price for location. Cons: disappointed with the quality of the room. A/C wass quite loud, which actually helped block out some of the road noise from the highway. The floor was carpeted with several visible stain on it. We almost cancelled our stay there because of this. Additionaly there was dark sand in the sheets at the foot of the bed. We asked for new bed sheets and pillow cases. The second batch of pillow cases also had sand on them, which was a good sign, signaling that the washing process was the cause of the presence of sand and not that they did not change the sheets. Won't go back unless carpet is replaced with something other than carpet. Outdoor patio has a bench with a cushion, yet there was no cover to the cushion, just the disgusting foam. It would be better if that was just thrown out. They did discount the price for us due to the sand in the sheets.

Amazing view and location!

I love the location! Close to the shops and dining. Best feature is it's across from the ocean. The rooms are cozy and comfy and the owners are so nice! The view from the elevated deck is perfect relaxing for sunrises and sunsets!

Do not recommend room 6

We were in room 6 for three nights. We booked because of all the positive reviews & we have stayed at several great 2-star places. This was more of a 1-star, at best. Positives - Location was fantastic, free parking, great water pressure, and sheets were clean. Negatives - the bathroom door was off the top hinges so would need a lot of effort to open/close (very noisy - try sleeping through your family going to the bathroom at night when they have to slam the door). Added a picture of the door for reference. They provided the last of a toilet paper roll but didn’t provide one to refill and no one is on site at night. It was generally pretty dingy with things like dust caked on the lamps, dirty doors, a lot of rust, carpet felt dirty. I felt overcharged for the room compared to what else was around there. Perhaps other rooms are significantly better, but I’d avoid room 6.
