Great place for a couple nights. Terrific location and facility

8.0

Stayed in unit 1 Eye calm serene place. Loved the books to read about history. Old family run. Nice. The nature walk was outstanding. Well worth it.

Outside lights stayed on all night.

Location is well into the Hoh Rainforest. Never saw the staff which was fine because we didn’t need anything though they communicated via text promptly. Private access to Hall of Heroes hiking trail which my 7 year old daughter and I loved. The Hard Rain cafe was next door; they didn’t have the best hours but they were the only food provider for literally miles and their stuff was good and reasonably priced for what they offered. To take full advantage of the location, we should have woken up early and headed to the Hoh visitor center; we got in line for the Hoh visitor center around 11:30a and wound waiting for 45 minutes to get access to the visitor center. We came back to the cabins and saw a herd of Elk foraging in a clearing that was a 4 minute walk from our door. There’s a trail across the road that, while rough at times, gave my daughter and I access to the Hoh River. Walking to locations outside the cabin is hard without sidewalks but doable, just watch out for cars on the road. Phenomenal place deep in the rainforest.

Nothing. It was great.

Lovely cabin on the way to the Hoh

9.0

Everything about this cabin was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the large windows and vaulted ceilings made it feel spacious, the little hiking trail from the cabin was a bonus and the location was perfect for us. It was also nice to not have tv or Internet so you could disconnect from technology.

The only drawback, which was very minor, was the cooktop. It was a little bit of a challenge to cook anything big as there were only two burners, but it really wasn’t a big deal, just something to point out so others can plan appropriately for it.
