From the moment I arrived at this hidden gem of a lodge, I knew I was in for something special. Nestled away in a lush landscape, the tranquility of this place was immediately soothing, providing the perfect escape for a solo traveler like myself. Over my five-day stay, I was fortunate to experience not only the breathtaking flora and fauna of the region but also the exceptional hospitality of the team that truly makes this place a standout. Theunis, JC, and Leroy were all amazing. They made me feel at home. The accommodation was comfortable and charming. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustle of leaves was a daily reminder of the natural beauty surrounding me. My guide JC had a wealth of knowledge about the local wildlife and ecosystem, JC transformed what could have been just another tour into an enlightening experience. His passion for nature was infectious, and I found myself captivated by his stories and insights. Whether it was identifying unique species of birds or sharing fascinating facts about the behavior of elephants, JC made every moment memorable. Theunis, JC, and Leroy even went above and beyond to set up a picnic for me at my favorite tree my last night at the lodge. They also surprised me with a birthday cake to celebrate my birthday. I am grateful for such an experience.

From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the people made this experience truly unforgettable. Ndaba, our guide, was exceptional—immensely knowledgeable about wildlife and deeply passionate about what he does. He went above and beyond on every game drive to ensure we experienced the very best of the wild. The game drives themselves were nothing short of thrilling. On my final day, we were lucky enough to spot four lions and an entire pack of wild dogs—an absolute highlight of the trip. Along the way, we also encountered hippos, giraffes, kudus, roans, zebras, crocodiles, baboons, and countless other species. It was extraordinary to witness such rich wildlife while being surrounded by comfort and care. The stay was equally impressive. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. A special touch was the option to shower outdoors in the open, just outside the room—an experience that made me feel even more connected to nature. The chef was a true culinary artist, elevating every meal and adding another layer of joy to my stay. The entire staff, including Daffne and Everest, were consistently helpful, courteous, and highly professional, making everything seamless and pleasant. This trip will stay with me forever—not just for the incredible wildlife, but for the genuine warmth and passion of the people who made it so special.
