Perfect tropical getaway

Highly Recommend Villa Tortuga! The layout of the villas were perfect. The villas had a traditional Costa Rica architecture, which we loved compared to the many modern styles in the area. The villas surrounded the pool, with beautiful tropical landscaping, which made it feel private, lush, and homey. Staff was extremely friendly, and Dave the owner was welcoming and approachable. Daily cleaning staff kept the room clean. Full kitchen amenities was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with full size appliances, and a rice cooker, blender, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and cookware. Pool grounds had a lush tropical landscape vibe and villa layout was great! The walk to the beach was a quick 5 minutes, and the location was walkable to many good restaurants and shops. It felt like home and we didn't want to leave!

Top-Unterkunft! Stilvoll eingerichtet, gemütliche Betten, bestens ausgestattet und mit täglichem Reinigungsservice. Die Klimaanlage lässt sich perfekt regulieren. Perfekte Lage im Zentrum des Surf-Hotspots Guiones, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand, Restaurants, Minimarkt, Bars, Shops, Autovermietungen und Surfschulen entfernt. Besonders schön: Trotz der zentralen Lage fühlt man sich mitten in der Natur. Brüllaffen sind regelmäßig zu hören und ein Leguan hat sogar über dem Pool in einer Palme gewohnt. Klare Empfehlung!

I thought the vibes were exceptional and I have been travelling literally all my life. Dave (the host) and his family were extremely welcoming and my young son had an incredible time. Dave goes above and beyond for his guests - for example, I left my charger in the apartment and he sent it via post to my next destination. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family, and if I'm ever back in Nosara, will be staying here.

We felt at home and very comfortable at Villa Tortuga. Dave (the owner) and the guys from Frog Pad were always very friendly and helpful. The location is probably the best possible in Playa Guiones — close to restaurants and only a 5-minute walk to the north side of the beach, which is great for surfing and away from the crowds in the southern area. The pool is wonderful and very important after surfing and during the hottest parts of the day. The apartment itself is great — simple but comfortable, with perfectly working air conditioning and very good kitchen utensils. Definitely want to come Back!

Great, spacious and in a very convenient location!

Very nice and spacious, great location and the owner Dave was so open and welcoming. We easily arranged an early check-in and a late check-out which we really appreciated! We loved having our own balcony/terrace to hang out at in the early mornings, and the shared kitchen with a charcoal BBQ was another major plus.

− This didn't bother us, but it might be good for others to know is that some of the buildings are right by the main street in Guiones so there was a bit of traffic noise at times in an otherwise very peaceful oasis. Only in the morning and day though, the whole town tends to go quiet around 9-10pm.

The owner/host Dave was fantastic especially in communication. His team were also great especially David in the Frogpad. Pool was nice, spacious villas and perfectly located.

− The only small complaint was one of the shower’s pressure was awful but it was such a good stay it didn’t really bother me.
