Great stay & very relaxing
10.0We enjoyed our stay at Evergreen the most. Greg and Maria curated the place in detail and is full of art and inspiration, definitely don't miss out on a stay here. Very helpful hosts, they cared for us like parents and even gave us a lift to the main street.

10.0Maria and Greg are very warm hosts who make sure that you feel absolutly welcome and safe at their cosy lodge. Family atmosphere with great food, cooked by Maria and her staff. Beautiful huts with cosy beds. A great place to relax and unwind and experience Gambia from a more local view.

10.0Greg & Maria are wonderful, warm hosts who instantly made us feel relaxed & at home. By the end of our two- nights stay we felt part of the family. Evergreen is a beautifully designed & tranquil oasis, with lots of personal touches. The food was authentic & delicious. Greg is a coffee-connoisseur providing us with ample, real coffee! We cannot wait to return, & will stay for much longer next time.
− Evergreen is wonderful. The only sadness is that the direct route to beach has been destroyed by sand mining. Having said that, there is a very pleasant, 30min walk through the neighbourhood to a glorious beach & excellent, low-key beach bar that does great food.

10.0The lodge is surrounded by trees so it is a couple of degrees cooler than out in the sun. A haven of shade and nature. Deeply relaxing to sit around and listen to the birds. Maria is an excellent cook and prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners. Also flexible - consulted on what sort of food we liked and time of meals. Enjoyed honey from Greg's bees at breakfast. Both very friendly and helpful.
− It would be a bit difficult to find the lodge if you had your own transport as there are no signposts and it's right in the country. But that's why we chose it.
