Perfect nature getaway

This is our second time here and we love this place! Perfect place to get away and clear your mind. I love that so many walks are readily accessible right outside your doorstep. The food is great. The staff is attentive. The fire places in winter are perfect. Beds are comfortable and clean. Will definitely be coming back.

− The shower is hot but could be hotter. Just a preference.

Greenfire Lodge a hidden Gem

We had the most wonderful holiday at Greenfire Lodge. From the moment we arrived until our departure, Jeremiah and his team catered to our every need. The location is remote, with beautiful and well-marked hiking trails. You do need a high-rise vehicle, but the trip is so worth it. The meals were delicious and wholesome. The accommodation was comfortable with an abundance of firewood for the cold winter nights. Jeremiah went out of his way to make us feel like VIPs. This was our first trip to Greenfire Lodge, and we will definitely be back. .

Restaurant in the clouds

Food was par excellence, left chubby but cheerful. Fireplace in dining room creates superb ambience. Loved the horses, spotted eland and a genet. You don't need a 4x4 to get there just a high clearance vehicle, sedans won't make it.

− Would have liked an extra comfy chair in the room, one of us had to sit on the bed to read. Suggest a gas bottle and plate along with a gas operated kettle to be placed in the foyer of each duplex. Schlepping off to dining room for a cuppa was tiresome.

Great to unwind but service questionable

Great place to unwind...we loved the freedom and tranquility and quietness.

− We did find ourselves on a bit of a mission when it came to getting help—whether it was warming up food for our young child or arranging activities. Jeremiah seemed quite committed to the word “no,” only occasionally reconsidering after a gentle nudge. It didn’t make for the most welcoming experience, and a refresher in customer etiquette might go a long way. This was our third visit, and unfortunately, the service seems to have taken a step backwards each time. Shaun was noticeably absent on this occasion, and overall our family felt a bit overlooked. To top it off, the broken toilet seat added an unexpected challenge—let’s just say it turned a simple sit-down into a balancing act!

Tranquility in the Mountain

Jeremiah and his team were superb. From the hospitality and the personalized meals, the honesty bar, the breathtaking views, the fireplace all prepared in your room. The hiking trails available are spectacticular with views that stretch as far as the eye can see. Best sleep I've had in years. A hidden gem with tranquility.

− You definitely need a vehicle with a high clearance. Perhaps the dogs in the dining area while eating not everyone's cup of tea. Otherwise a 10/10
