A Spacious Room for the Night
8.0We stayed in a loft within the main lodge. Being that we arrived after 4 PM and left the following day before 11 AM we never saw anyone at the front deck. Interacting with someone would have been nice but not a make-or-break. Our room was large and very comfortable, however with the loft well, lofted it's a but hard to enjoyed the breeze from the river at night. We had the fans running and while the bed was comfortable sleeping was difficult. We were able to whip up breakfast in the morning thanks to the provided electric griddle. All in all, would recommend.
− Would have loved to speak with staff on-site. Would have also been great if there was a better means for cooling our room but fully understand it's Alaska and air conditioning was uncommon. One last note, I thought it would be walkable to town and it likely is but not something we opted for given the mosquitos, etc.

10.0We rented suite 1 and it was far beyond expectations. It was spotless, huge and had all of the amenities plus a fabulous deck with the best view of the river. Bev & Highly recommend this Lodge.
Good for short stay but need a car for remote location
7.0Room was spacious and comfortable for an overnight stay.
− Location was not in town. Not convenient if you are coming in by train/motorcoach and don’t have a car.

Susitna River Lodge is a beautiful property right on the river.
10.0The property is beautiful, the lodge is very comfortable, staff is friendly, and check in/out was a breeze. I look forward to staying longer next time I am in Alaska.
