An enjoyable stay in a convenient location
9.0Breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Room was comfortable, as expected - we have stayed here before.
− Access to our room this time was up and down two staircases, which when carrying luggage and dealing with fire doors was a bit challenging. We stayed during a heatwave but there was only one small electric fan in our room and the windows do not open very wide for safety reasons. Unfortunately a chosen item (scallops) on the evening menu on our first night was unavailable, and sadly was not restocked in time for our second evening meal two days later.
Entirely satisfactory for a short stay.
8.0Easy parking. Friendly staff. Good location for access to Stratford and Wellesbourne airfield.
− It is a bit of a rabbit warren getting to ones room (up stairs, down stairs, up stairs etc - not much that can be done about it but it might not suit everyone, especially if carrying heavy suitcases. Evening meal was OK without being exceptional (for example, not much Marie Rose sauce on the prawn cocktail).
I enjoyed my stay at The King's Head and I would certainly stay again (but not in Room 2)
8.0The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Excellent location. I liked the decor. I had an excellent 3 course dinner in the restaurant - delicious and good value for money.
− I was a solo traveller in Room 2. A good size for a single room but the huge, noisy vent from the kitchen was right outside my window. It was very warm but I couldn't open the window because of the noise. Also a nice touch would have been a comfy armchair - there was room for one.
Value for money, clean comfortable, some staff could do with some training
7.0Clean and comfortable, characterful, fan was appreciated in the hot weather
− Quality of breakfast wasn’t great, some staff were bordering on rude
relaxing
10.0laege room good facilities, bar/restaurant with large beer garden
