This place really is beautiful. The hut itself is beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need for your trip. The bed was so comfortable, did not want to get out the next morning! The hot tub was lovely, it took a while to heat up but once it got going it was gorgeous being sat in there whilst taking in the piece and quiet and watching the meerkats. There are lots of animals for you to enjoy. I highly recommend this place, we were so relaxed and do not have anything we would change. We will definitely be returning.

We had such a lovely stay and genuinely didn’t want to leave. The bed was easily the comfiest we’ve ever slept in – it made it very hard to get up in the mornings! The whole place felt really off-grid and peaceful, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We’d seen a few reviews mentioning the hot tub not getting warm, but we had the complete opposite experience. We brought our own wood, and the host kindly got it started for us – it was perfectly warm within a couple of hours. The facilities were great, and one of the absolute highlights was the animals. They were amazing, and we loved meeting and feeding all of them. It was really nice hearing from the host about how they’ve been rescued – you can tell how well they’re cared for. They’re all so friendly and full of character, we were genuinely gutted to leave them. There’s also a local pub nearby, The Bells Inn, which was fantastic – really welcoming locals and landlord. We were lucky enough to catch their pop-up Chinese night and the food was brilliant. When we got back, we lit the fire and BBQ which just topped off a perfect evening.

A couple of things to note (but none of them impacted our stay negatively): there’s no WiFi, but we expected that and actually really enjoyed switching off with board games and books. The rooster does wake you up early (around 4am!), but again, that’s part of the experience when you’re staying somewhere so rural. There wasn’t hot water in the kitchen sink, but we managed absolutely fine. Honestly, the only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer. We had such a great time and would definitely come back.
