Breathtaking Mountain Setting: Living right in the jungle with spectacular views directly from the rooms. Watching the clouds and greenery from our balcony was unforgettable. Exceptional Hospitality: The entire staff, alongside the wonderful hosts and owners, treated us like family and made our stay incredibly special. Incredible Food: The authentic, home-cooked Sri Lankan meals were absolutely delicious and easily a highlight of our trip. Peaceful Atmosphere: While parts of the property are still under construction, it caused absolutely no noise or interference with our stay.

− Location & Transport: The resort is located a bit outside of central Kandy, so you will need to plan for transport to get to nearby sights. However, the hosts are incredibly accommodating and will gladly help you arrange rides if you haven't booked a driver beforehand.

Ein Muss auf jeder Sri Lanka Reise!

Wir haben bereits viele Hotels auf der ganzen Welt besucht, aber so ein außergewöhnliches Haus findet man nur selten. Die Lage ist traumhaft, mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick, einem perfekten Sonnenaufgang und das gesamte Hotelpersonal war unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Hotelmanager – er war mit Abstand der beste auf unserer gesamten Sri‑Lanka‑Reise. Immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und engagiert. Er hat uns bei der Kommunikation mit Fahrern unterstützt und ist sogar persönlich mit uns zu einer lokalen Teefabrik gefahren – ein Erlebnis, das wir jedem Gast wärmstens empfehlen können. Einfach nur vielen herzlichen Dank für den unvergesslich Aufenthalt. Wenn wir wieder nach Sri Lanka reisen, wissen wir ganz genau, wohin wir zurückkehren werden, wärmstens jedem zu empfehlen!

We had the most incredible stay at The Cloud Resort it truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely outstanding. The team made us feel so welcome and cared for throughout our entire stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special mention has to go to Inthizar, who went above and beyond for us. He kindly took us to watch the most breathtaking sunset a moment we’ll never forget and even days after we had checked out, he was still helping us with recommendations and support. That level of genuine care is so rare and made our experience incredibly special. The room itself was beautiful spotless, comfortable, and perfectly designed to make the most of the stunning surroundings. Waking up to those views felt like something out of a dream. And the food… wow. Absolutely incredible. Every meal was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with so much care. It was honestly some of the best food we’ve had during our time in Sri Lanka. This place is more than just a hotel — it’s an experience. The combination of breathtaking views, amazing food, and truly heartfelt hospitality makes it somewhere we will always remember. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay at the cloud resort. The view is really stunning with a sunrise watch directly from bed!! The food is amazing and the manager and staff so incredibly friendly and caring. We really enjoyed our time to the fullest. It was also perfect for our 5 month old baby. Make sure to stay there when being around the Candy area. 10/10 recommendation!

A wonderful stay at The Cloud Resort We had a fantastic stay at The Cloud Resort in Sri Lanka. The hotel is truly charming and located in an exceptional place on a cliff, surrounded by beautiful nature and stunning views. One of the highlights was watching the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from this unique location – absolutely unforgettable. The owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay special and even prepared a birthday cake for our son, which was a very thoughtful and touching gesture. The food at the hotel was excellent. Everything we tried was delicious, but the shrimp omelette deserves a special mention – it was simply outstanding. If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic place with great hospitality and amazing food, we highly recommend The Cloud Resort. It’s a place we would happily return to.
