10.0Our stay at the jungle lodge was perfect! We had an unforgettable experience. We slept in on a comfortable matras surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and slept like babies. We were awoken with tea and cookies which we had to guard from the monkeys. Chasing the monkeys away was a once in a lifetime experience and so was the beautiful view. The view was unique and can’t be found in any other lodge in Bukit Lawang. We were well taken care of, from feeling safe at night to the delicious food, fruits and tea. Our transport to and from Bukit Lawang was taken care of and we started our jungle trek from the lodge. Our amazing guide Balou made sure we saw plenty of orangutans and other wildlife. The next day we were transported from our lodge back to town by raft on the river. This family run business was lovely and I cried tears of joy saying goodbye to our beautiful 2 night jungle home. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! Much love from Chloe and Sebbe.
Great and real jungle experience!
10.0Amazing tour, Balù best guide ever! We did the two days and one night tour and we managed to see six orangutans in total, one of which very very close. We slept in the forest next to the river and it was an amazing experience. The food they cooked was great and delicious and there are also vegetarian options if you are vegetarian like me. I wouldn’t suggest this kind of trekking to those who are not physically prepared because it can get very tough. In any case Balù is gonna find the best way to help you out!
C’était un séjour incroyable ! Un accueil chaleureux, la nourriture était excellente, notre guide Rifan était adorable.

Best tour guide in Bukit Lawang!
10.0We had an unforgettable experience trekking in the jungle and staying in the lodge on the top of the hill. If you want to come to Bukit Lawang, this is the place to stay! You are fully surrounded by nature, away from all of the noise of the town. Udin picked us up from the bus station, where we went to the booking office to discuss which tour package we want to book. In Bukit Lawang everywhere has the same price for the tours, so we paid 70€ each for a full day trek. Food and drinks were also provided for our entire stay for 10€. After this, we left most of our belongings locked in his office, and we walked up to the jungle lodge ~30 minutes away. When you leave, you can take a raft down the river into town, which was a lot of fun. The accommodation was basic but comfortable. It's not for people who want luxury, but if you want to feel close with nature this is perfect for you - there is no electric or WiFi, and you shower using a bucket. In the morning you will be woken up by the monkeys coming and running around the decking. There is a large closet to keep your valuables out of the monkey's hands. The food was all delicious, and they were able to make it fully vegetarian for us. All of the portions were very big, so we had plenty of energy for our trek. The jungle trek with Rifan and Aahan was the highlight of our trip. Best tour guides in Bukit Lawang! They were very friendly, shared lots of information about the wildlife and the locals' lives, and they were just as excited as us whenever we spotted a new animal! We saw orangutans, gibbons, lots of monkeys, toucans, and a peacock. As you can see in the pictures, we were provided with a feast of fruit early in the day which gave us plenty of energy for the rest of the trek. Thank you Udin, Rifan and Aahan for giving us such an unforgettable experience!

10.0− The 2nd day was spent by the river relaxing and swimming which is great for adults but the children got a bit bored after a few hours so we took them for a wander but it's not negative it's just our kids get up early and like to be busy. This was an absolutely incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the moment we stepped off the plane, this family-run business took care of every detail, ensuring our jungle adventure was seamless, safe, and unforgettable. Here is why you should book this trek: Seamless Logistics: Our adventure began with a pre-organized 4-hour transfer to the village, including a lovely dinner stop. Even arriving at 2 AM, we were greeted cheerfully by the owner, Udin. Family-Friendly Trekking: We did a 6-hour trek with our kids (ages 10 and 12). While there are a few steep sections, it was very manageable. One of our guides Anant was amazing with the children, even holding their hands during climbs and river crossings. Unforgettable Wildlife: We were lucky enough to encounter a massive male orangutan twice! Seeing him walk along the jungle floor right in front of us was magical. We also saw Thomas Leaf monkeys right at our camp. Expert Guides: Our guides, Balu and Anant, were fantastic. The team prioritizes safety and respect for the animals' habitat while ensuring you get the best views and photos. Authentic Accommodation: Whether you stay in the village, the jungle lodge or the tent in camp further into the jungle it is basic but beautiful. Sleeping under mosquito nets to the sound of the rain and the jungle was peaceful and cozy. Five-Star Food: You will not go hungry! From coffee and biscuits to massive Sumatran candlelit spreads by the river, the food was plentiful and delicious. The "Coolest" Finale: After a relaxing day chilling by the river, we finished the trip by rafting down the river back to the village. Everything was included in the price, and the genuine care this family has for their guests shines through.
