10.0Everything! The animals were amazing. Our guide and tracker (Eden and Magic) were incredible. Their knowledge and love of the animals was clear to see and they made our experience incredible. The room was lovely with a private deck where we could relax and watch the animals at the river during the day. Lodge staff were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay so special.

10.0Staff were very friendly and our guides were incredible. We saw 4/5 of the big 5 and multiple times. Only thing we didn't see was a buffalo which didn't really care about.
− Receptionist could have been a bit more on the ball. It would have been nice if they explained more on the safety side too i.e. what to do in case of an emergency.

− Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch wenn man den alten Stil beibehalten möchte, könnte man gewisse Sachen aufwerten. Die Matratze macht alle Bewegungen mit.
Beautiful lodge with great food and friendly staff, but minor maintenance issues and underwhelming game drives.
8.0Beautiful property with charming rooms. The food was excellent, and the reception and service team were very friendly.
− Our bungalow initially had an unpleasant smell, but it cleared after some airing. Unfortunately, the hot water was not working. The game drives were less informative compared to other experiences, and the driver seemed somewhat unmotivated.

10.0Amazing stay! There is nothing to complain about - amazing food, amazing people, and a well thought through itinerary. We were also lucky to see much more than the Big 5 and our guides were just amazing finding the perfect sights. Just worth it!

Scheduled daily flights between OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) and Hoedspruit / Eastgate Airport take approximately 50 minutes, followed by a 50 minute road transfer to the lodge. Scheduled flights between Cape Town (6 times a week) and Hoedspruit take approximately 2 ½ hours, followed by a 50 minute road transfer to the lodge. Transfers can be arranged from Hoedspruit/Eastgate Airport to the lodge at an additional fee.
Guests choosing to drive from OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) to the lodge are to make their own transfer arrangements – average travel time is 6/7 hours.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
