4.0The staff at Umkumbe were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant to interact with, definitely the highlight of our stay.
− Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the price. The rooms felt dated, the facilities were quite basic, and the food had very limited choices with average quality. For travellers mainly looking for an unforgettable wildlife experience, I think there are better options. The safari area felt relatively small, with fewer animal sightings compared to other lodges we visited. Although we appreciate the lovely team, considering the room, food, and game drives, this was the least impressive safari experience of our trip and not one we would personally recommend.

10.0Die Lodge liegt mitten im Sabi Sands Reserve und ist somit super Ausgangspunkt für die Game Drives. Alles ist hochprofessionell organsiert. Unser Guide Shannon liebt ihren Job über alles und das merkte man bei den Fahrten. Wir haben bie nur einer Nacht in der Lodge Elefanten, Giraffen, Impalas, Gnus, Büffel etc. und zweimal einen Leoparden sehen können.

8.0L'emplacement du lodge juste en face de la rivière Sabi était juste parfait. Nous avons même vu une famille éléphant manger pendant que nous-même nous déjeunions. Nous avons pu voir les Big five pendant le safari du matin mais celui du soir était plus décevant car nous n'avons pas vu grand-chose. Très bon petit déjeuner et déjeuner mais le dîner le soir au bauma était décevant. Piscine très agréable, malgré la saison. Ma fille a pu bien en profiter. La chambre individuelle donnant sur la rivière était très agréable avec une terrasse privative. Le lodge dispose d'une salle de sport que nous n'avons pas testé mais qui a l'air très bien équipée.
− Pour le dîner du soir, pas d'alternative si on n'aime pas le plat principal ni le dessert, ce qui était notre cas. On doit systématiquement aller récupérer l'eau à une fontaine à eau lorsqu'on mange, ce qui n'est pas forcément toujours pratique.. Aucune carafe à disposition..
Mooi uitzicht matige lodge.
7.0Locatie ligt mooi. Via een zandweg te bereiken. Bij aankomst goed ontvangen. Dit was tevens onze gids.
− Locatie is zeer toe aan de opknapbeurt. Niet van deze tijd hoe het eruit zit. (18 jaar oud) Heeft niets met sfeer te maken. Eten is zeer zeer beneden pijl. Het is prima de twee bakken waar je uit kan kiezen qua smaak. Dat was nog een geluk! Maar voor zoveel geld is dit zwaar onder de maat! Wij hebben meer lodges bezocht rond Kruger dus kan het goed vergelijken. Game drives oké maar inderdaad rijden veel in hetzelfde gebied. Zou hier echt geen 3 nachten willen zitten. Kortom werk aan de winkel. Eten moet beter en de kamers moeten een update krijgen. Ligstoelen buiten zitten vol met vlekken.
