Small cottage on a farm close to Kolmården zoo
5.0- Close to Kolmården Zoo (15-min drive). - The cottage is located in a genuine Swedish family farm with a beautiful garden, next to the host’s house. - Lots of decorations and toys in the cottage and chickens on the farm that were interesting for kids. - The host replies to all messages instantly and greeted us upon our arrival.
− - Facilities were limited and mostly outdated - no hair dryer or electric kettle. - More transparency of the price would be better. The price on Booking.com for 3 adults was 1,400 kr. However, we were charged 2,900 kr in the end - including 300 kr extra for each of our small kids (age 3 and 1), 300 kr for cleaning, 600 kr for towels and bed linens (while we had to do the bedding ourselves). - Almost everything in the room was running out when we arrived - e.g., hand wash, shampoo, household paper, coffee powder etc. It didn’t make us feel welcomed. - Lots of flies in the cottage that bothered us a lot over the night. - Fire alarm went on due to low battery in the alarm (nothing triggered it) and the host asked us to take the alarm down by ourselves if it goes on again. - Ceiling very low in the room. - Far away from grocery stores or restaurants - bring food with you before arriving.
