What stay?

Scam maybe. Made booking, confirmation email, arrived from berastagi, get there and no room,no record of booking, said they have changed their name of hotel,I phoned the number on email first question was am I going to trek with them and too soon to know as a room was priority he said no rooms and hung up.found a place by asking locals, mostly best option and 100,000 a night.

Read what I like about . Booking.com should check if this is a legit hotel should have noticed last review was in 2025.

Perfecto!

10.0

We loved our stay here! The bed was super comfortable, everything was nice and clean, there’s good wifi, the food at the restaurant was very good…. we had all we asked for. But what we liked most was the attention of the family. They all helped us in all we needed and made it very easy. It is a small guest house with a few rooms only, which makes it very calm, but anyways they were able to exceed all our expectations. From arranging the orangutan tour, all transportations, hive us food when needed, do laundry, paying with credit card and even give us a scooter. Thank you for your kindness!

To say something, there is no hot water. But you are in a remote village in Sumatra so expect that almost everywhere you go

Friendly,familiar and well organised place!

10.0

We stayed at Brown Bamboo for 4 nights and we can’t thank enough for Gia and his lovely wife for making our stay really special! The rooms are basic but you have everything what you would need!Super friendly and kind host! They even invited us to join them for a wedding in a village!Gia organised our jungle trekking which is a memory I will never forget! Our guides Gesu and Borneo are the best!!!the jungle trekk with the hot-humid weather is very hard but it is worth every second of it and they will look after you in every step of the way!we saw many orangutans, some very close to us!!!Sleeping in a jungle is very surreal ,but being and sleeping in nature is a one of a kind experience!Gia also organised a trip to Tangakhan where you can wash the elephants in the river and feed them!Great experience! I would absolutely recommend Brown Bamboo guests house if you looking for a friendly and familiar place ! Thank you Gia and family for making our stay really special!
