A unique and magical stay in the valley
10.0The El Gallo Ecolodge is a magical place: a virtual botanic garden nestled into the valley near Puerto Plata. We adored the cascading swimming pool, all of the sitting nooks, and the yummy meals up in the restaurant. The staff were accommodating and, by the end of our stay, felt a bit like family. We had our own car, so we were able to make daytrips to the coastal beaches.
− The road up to El Gallo is not for the faint of heart. If one is driving oneself as we did, you'll want a proper 4wd car!

− Google maps took us through the scary road with no actual road , we arrived at night so it was scary going through dark offroadimg roads
