Beautiful house in a stunning location and perfect service!
10.0What a beautiful house and amazing service! We arrived around midnight, yet Joanna (the hostess) still took the trouble to welcome us. There were fresh flowers on the table, a well-stocked fruit bowl, and freshly baked cupcakes. Additionally, a hot meal was in the oven and plenty of food for the next morning's breakfast. We had never experienced anything like this before! Joanna is very sweet, generous, and helpful. She is Greek from America, and her catchphrases are 'honey' and 'sweetheart' :) The house is beautiful and very clean. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but everything is new and tidy. The location is also very beautiful. There is a lovely view of Mount Ida, and the setting is quiet and rural. The children had a lot of fun with the table tennis table, the swimming pool, the jacuzzi, and the bicycles. The village of Melidoni is within walking distance. It is very small with many dilapidated houses, but it has a renovated center with 2 restaurants, a Greek café with locals, a small supermarket, and a souvenir shop. Very cozy and well worth a visit. There is also a beautiful, traditional Greek church there. In Perama, located a little further away, you can do some better grocery shopping, but otherwise the town is not very beautiful. Recommended places include Bali for nice restaurants and beautiful bays/beaches, the Melidoni Cave, Reptisland, the Mili Gorge, and the village of Margarites. Furthermore, Joanna gave us a tour of her husband and family's olive oil factory. Afterwards, we were given olive oil to take home. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation.
− We found the mattresses a bit on the firm side (mattress with metal inner springs). Perhaps it is time for new, modern pocket spring mattresses.
Best villa we've ever visited
10.0Villa Evanthia is the best property we have ever stayed in - the most beautiful house and garden, the best-equipped and most generously-stocked kitchen, and in a quiet location with views of Mount Ida and surrounded by olive groves. Joanna and her family are super-friendly and helpul, and left us with everything we needed, along with fresh fruit and veg and home-cooked food. Make sure to visit their olive oil farm too!

Perfect
10.0Εverything was amazing!! The house, the location and of course the owners were like family!
− Nothing really.
We highly recommend Villa Evanthia!
10.0Villa Evanthia is perfect for two families (we were 4 adults and 5 children). Everything was well-maintained and functional, and the entire house was sparkling clean upon arrival. The house is beautifully furnished with four good-sized bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lovely and fully equipped kitchen, and air conditioning in every room. The owner of the house, Joanna is by far the most lovely, nice and easygoing owner and greek person we have ever come across and also great that her English is impeccable! She was not very responsive to our inquiries prior to arrival, which made us a bit uneasy, but there was absolutely no reason to worry. Our need for planning far succeeds the need in Greece. "Just relax, honny - it's the greek way", she would say❤ Everything was in perfect order, and Joanna was quick to respond to any questions or concerns throughout our stay. The fridge was filled with fruit, water, juice, and beer upon arrival. On the day of our arrival, Joanna brought us lunch, and later in the week, she brought us ice cream and homemade cake - how nice is that! The house has a cozy and lovely garden with a beautiful terrace, pool, and well-functioning outdoor kitchen with a grill. The terrace has shaded areas with comfortable patio furniture. The pool is spacious and self-cleaning, so there is no need to fish dead animals out of it. Fantastic Villa Evanthia is located a 5-minute walk from the charming village of Melidoni, where there are opportunities to purchase basic necessities and a few small shops selling clothing, jewelry, spirits, etc. There is also a cozy little restaurant with delicious traditional Greek food and fantastic homemade ice cream. We highly recommend Villa Evanthia!
Fabulous Villa
10.0The Villa was perfect, Every detail was thought off its such a spacious residence with beautiful views over the mountains it was spotlessly clean inside and out, with a great pool. The home cooked meal ready on our arrival was most appreciated and a nicely stocked fridge all added to a warm welcome. Joanna the host was wonderful so helpful, cheerful and generous, she made us feel so comfortable, She sourced a wheelchair for my mum to use during our stay which was a big relief for me, It's a lovely little stroll in to the village where there's a few shops and restaurants where we were made very welcome, make sure you visit the Family Olive Oil factory for a tour and hopefully you'll meet Joanna's Mum too they made us laugh so much. Thank you again Joanna for such a fabulous stay.

Wonderful stay
10.0The property was beautiful, and was fully equipped for our friends and family (we had 3 little ones). Joanna was one of the best hosts I’ve come across, she was attentive and responded very quickly to messages. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners every night , with the added touch of appliances like juicers and coffee machines and a great bbq areas. The property also contained a washing machine , which was particularly useful when you have small children. I also really liked there were lots of areas of shade - as well as lots of spots that caught the sun. We all loved our stay and would recommend the place to everyone.
